Composer and multi-instrumentalist Joshua Abrams has released six albums as a bandleader, including 2010's Natural Information, which was deemed by Ben Ratliff of the New York Times "one of the rough gems of the post-everything era." He has composed soundtracks to four feature-length films and collaborated on over 100 recordings. For this evening, he’s assembled an ensemble to perform excerpts from his soundtracks to The Interrupters and Life Itself. The group will feature Chicago legend Ari Brown on tenor saxophone, Angelica Sanchez on piano, Taylor Ho Bynum on trumpet, Chad Taylor on drums, and Abrams on bass.
