RECORD RELEASE PARTY MARCH 10TH AT LITTLEFIELD
Brooklyn based vinyl label, Hundred Pockets Records is proud to make its presence known with two debut releases! HPR will be hosting a Record Release Party for both albums on March 10th at Littlefield’s in Brooklyn.
The first is an EP from the multi-talented Christopher Hoffman entitled Induction. Hoffman is best known as a cellist whose collaborations span from Marianne Faithfull to Henry Threadgillto Martin Scorcese.
He is also a highly sought after recording engineer/producer, arranger, composer and multi-instrumentalist. Hoffman’s talent and strong conceptual direction on Induction could be interpreted as cinematic singer/songwriter . Hoffman’s tracks stand alone as rich and multi-layered rock compositions, with hints of jazz,
classical, 70’s psychedelic and vintage soundtrack. Christopher Hoffman’s Induction is available on 150gram virgin vinyl March 10th through HPR and digital download through bandcamp February 15th.
The second is a full-length record by pianist and composer Frank LoCrasto. The album’s cover art reflects the sounds that lie within. El Dorado is a sonic journey though many genres and time periods drawn together with a classic soundtrack sensibility. Fans of Ellington, Eno and Morricone will respect LoCrasto’s ability to draw from the sounds of the past while combining them with a feel for the future. El Dorado truly has something for every ear.
